Have a great summer vacation!

After being locked up at home for so long, school work is over. Congratulations! Now is time to relax and enjoy the summer. A very big hug for all of you! See you in September!

Finally, a goodbye song: «I love summertime». And you?

28 May 2020

Today, just dance!

What if we danced a little? It’s not going to be all study, is it?

We suggest you play «Just Dance» with this catchy Black Eyed Peas song. But, attention, the important thing is not to sing the song, but to have a good time dancing, and if it's with the family, much better.

The song is titled «I gotta feeling» (Tengo un sentimiento). If you want you can learn and sing the chorus which is easy!
I gotta feeling (Tengo un sentimiento)
That tonight's gonna be a good night (que esta noche va a ser una buena noche)
That tonight's gonna be a good night (que esta noche va a ser una buena noche)
That tonight's gonna be a good good night (que esta noche va a ser una buena buena noche)
And if you want to know the translation of the complete song, here you have it.

If you practice choreography (alone or with your father, your mother, your brothers or sisters...) and you want to record it on video, go ahead! We know that many are embarrassed to dance, but don't worry, it is a voluntary activity.

Come on, cheer up! Wear comfortable clothes and dance!
Resumen tareas: «Today, just dance!» (29-5-20) (actividad voluntaria)
Animo!

Now you can do these simple activities: here, here and here.
Resumen tareas: «Today, opposites!» (26-5-20)
—Realizar las actividades on line propuestas:

The most important meal of the day

In English, the names of the meals (comidas) are breakfast (desayuno), lunch (comida) and dinner (cena).

In this video, the boy says he doesn't want to have breakfast because he prefers to go out and play. The mother gets angry and reminds him that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Surely you also know!

And now, two interactive activities: here and here.
Resumen tareas «The most important meal of the day» (21-5-20)
—Después hacer estas actividades on line:
aquí y aquí.
—Por último, enviar las actividades resueltas a
fogarnews@gmail.com

Great Song Contest!

Do you like to sing? Today it is time to sing. Remember that I had already told you in class. Imagine you're a contestant in a Great Song Contest. Don't be ashamed!

First, choose one of these songs that you already know.

Then listen to it and try to memorize it. Use the CD that accompanied the Class Book or here as well (Unit 1: «My super sister» / Unit 2: «The seasons» / Unit 3: «Where’s my mouse?»).

It's time to record the performance of the song (it can be with the background music). The more creative, the better: you can wear costumes, makeup, choreograph, be accompanied by sisters, brothers, parents, pets...

When the recording is ready, with the help of mom or dad, send it to Fogar News (instructions below).

If you did everything, congratulations! You are a contestant in our Great Song Contest!

Resumen tareas: «Great song contest!» (28-4-20)
19), «The seasons» (Class Book, pag. 29) or «Where’s my mouse?» (Class Book, pag. 39).

Cars, Planes, Trains...

The Singing Walrus shows us «Cars, Planes, and Trains». This fun song introduces different means of transport and their speed in relation to each other. Every verse of the song features a vehicle, each showing a faster one than the last. You will enjoy watching the characters move from place to place, riding a bike, a bus, a car, a train, a plane, and finally a rocket!

Ah! And you can also practice the numbers from 10 to 1 with the countdown before the launch of the rocket.

A great song!

Working for Peace

On February 8th all our students will celebrate the Day of Peace with a small walk. Its objective is to educate for and about tolerance, solidarity and respect for Human Rights, non-violence and peace.

Next to the Monument to the Heroes of Orzán all of us will release white balloons in the air and sing We are the world, the popular song by Michael Jackson. If you want to learn it, here is a video that can help you. If you find it difficult, you can practice only the chorus (the part in blue). And here you have the spanish translation.

«WE ARE THE WORLD»

There comes a time when we heed a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And its time to lend a hand to life
There greatest gift of all

We cant go on pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of God’s great big family
And the truth, you know,
Love is all we need

Chorus:
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving
Theres a choice we're making
We're saving out own lives
Its true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Send them your heart so they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stones to brend
So we all must lend a helping hand

Chorus:
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving
Theres a choice we're making
We're saving out own lives
Its true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

When you're down and out, there seems no hope at all
But if you just believe theres no way we can fall
Let us realize that a change can only come
When we stand together as one

Chorus:
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving
Theres a choice we're making
We're saving out own lives
Its true we'll make a better day
Just you and me
